BODRUM ENDS THE SEASON ON A HIGH NOTE

Bodrum Cruise Port, operated by Global Ports Holding, the world’s largest cruise port operator in the world, played host to an impressive array of ships and passengers this year, making it an unforgettable season.

This year, Bodrum Cruise Port welcomed a total of 101 ships with over 100k cruise passengers from various countries. Additionally, the port conducted 836 ferry calls between Bodrum and Kos, accommodating over 110k passengers. The season’s final call was on November 15, 2023, with the arrival of the Seabourn Encore cruise ship.

Aziz Güngör, GPH Regional Director of East Med, expressed his satisfaction, stating, “As Bodrum Cruise Port, a rising star in the cruise industry, we distinguish ourselves with our high standards of infrastructure and operational expertise. We hosted ships that made their inaugural visits to Turkey this season. I am pleased to announce that we anticipate more calls with increased passenger volumes in Bodrum next year.”

In the 2023 season, Bodrum Cruise Port hosted a diverse range of ships, including the Resilient Lady from Virgin Voyages, which made its debut in Turkey with a total of 16 calls to Bodrum Cruise Port being the only Turkish port in her itinerary. Vasco Da Gama and Europa ships from Mystic Cruises also made their inaugural visits to Bodrum. Other notable arrivals included Celebrity Apex from Celebrity Cruises, MSC Opera, and Sinfonia from MSC Cruises, Evrima from Ritz Carlton Yachts, Seven Seas Splendor, and Seven Seas Navigator from Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

Mr. Güngör emphasized the significance of Bodrum as a preferred destination, stating, “Bodrum, one of Turkey’s premier tourism destinations, particularly stood out in cruise tourism this year. We hosted the Resilient Lady from Virgin Voyages, which chose Bodrum as its first destination in Turkey.”

Bodrum Cruise Port is a multipurpose facility catering to cruise ships, ferries, and mega-yachts. This year, the port has successfully accommodated 388 luxury private mega-yachts, delivering unparalleled services for their seamless navigation and upscale experiences.
