The annual Global Run Bodrum took place on 28 April, bringing people together in the event ethos of ‘Run for Hope’. Sponsored by Global Ports Holding plc and Global Investment Holdings, Global Run Bodrum brought sportsmanship, competition and celebrations to the city. Bodrum Cruise Port hosted the event and was the start point for participants.
In its sixth year, Global Run Bodrum marked a record number of runners, numbering more than 1700. In addition to the regular 5K and 10K runs, this year the Global Run included an additional 21K half marathon run. The route took participants from Bodrum Cruise Port and passed through Gumbet, Bitez, Myndos Gate and the Antique Theatre, giving the runners the opportunity to see the city’s historic monuments and beautiful bays, while spring blossom provided a welcoming display on the main streets.
All money raised from the event went to Parilti Association, Global Run Bodrum’s charity partner, which aids children and young adults with visual disability.
The traditional Global Run Bodrum 5 is hosted by Bodrum Cruise Port. The 10K and 5K races had record attendance of 1500 people. Organized by Global Investment Holdings, the race brought joyous festivities to the streets of Bodrum on April 29th. The revenues of the annual event were donated to Parilti Association.
For the fourth consecutive year, Global Run Bodrum kicked off from Bodrum Cruise Port on Sunday, April 30th 2017. With the joyful run for children and the exciting race for adults, Global Run brought more than 1000 runners to Bodrum. The revenues of the 2017 race were donated to Parıltı Association and TOHUM Autism Foundation.
Global Ports Holding held Global Run Bodrum for the third time on Sunday, 17th April 2016. Hosted by Bodrum Cruise Port, Global Run brought celebration to local streets between April 15 and 17, 2016 with colorful activities. Over 1000 runners, started from Bodrum Cruise Port to complete the 10K race course. Revenues were donated to TOCEV and PARILTI Association at the traditional charity run.
Global Run Bodrum 2 is hosted by Bodrum Cruise Port for the second time. Organized by Global Ports Holding, Global Run Bodrum started from Bodrum Cruise Port on Sunday, May 03, 2015. The run had a capacity of 1250 runners in total. All registration fees were donated to Parilti Association.
