Bodrum Cruise Port Signals a New Era of Luxury as the 2026 Season Commences with Astoria Grande
Bodrum Cruise Port, a strategic Mediterranean hub within the Global Ports Holding network, officially inaugurated its 2026 cruise season today with the arrival of Astoria Grande. The ship arrived with 909 passengers and 445 crew members on board, marking the beginning of a promising year for the region’s cruise tourism.
For the 2026 season, Bodrum Cruise Port is expected to host 119 cruise calls and welcome approximately 140,000 cruise passengers. In addition, robust ferry connections between Bodrum and the Greek Islands are projected to serve a further 150,000 passengers, bringing total passenger traffic close to 290,000 this year.
The 2026 season highlights Bodrum’s rising profile, with a notable number of maiden calls and a strong presence of ultra-luxury brands. A total of 19 ships are scheduled to make their inaugural calls this season. The port’s growing appeal to high-end passengers is further reinforced by a distinguished lineup of cruise lines, including multiple calls from The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Four Seasons Yachts, Ponant, and Emerald Cruises. These developments reflect Bodrum’s evolving position within global cruise itineraries.
Beyond the luxury segment, the port continues to serve as a key destination for major cruise operators. The season will feature a strong presence from Aroya Cruises with 16 scheduled calls, while Marella Cruises remains a valued partner with 13 visits. Additional highlights include the arrival of Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady and Bodrum’s inclusion in AIDA Cruises’ itineraries with AIDAblu for the first time.
